Kassa-e-Dil; an Eye Opening Novel by Rif’at Siraj

KASSA-E-DIL, by Rif’at Siraj is a beautiful and eye opener novel. The novel deals with a very sensitive issue of our society.

Tasleem loves with an orphan boy In’am Ullah who is brought up by a woman who teaches Tasleem Qur’an. But Tasleem’s brothers hate that guy and often fight with him.

One day Tasleem knows her brother’s hater with In’am Ullah when her mother says about In’am Ullah’s mother’s proposal of Tasleem for In’am Ullah and they say that they will not let it happen and would rather kill In’am Ullah.

One day In’am Ullah leave the area for another city and Tasleem left alone with sorrows. But some days later In’am comes back to take something left in the home. At night time Tasleem meets him and runs away with him.

In their way when train stops at a station In’am Ullah gives her a cup of tea and gets off the train to buy something. But after taking tea she falls asleep and awakes after eight hour and does not find In’am Ullah with her. She finds a letter in her purse from In’am Ullah who wrote that he is going to leave her here because he had a plan to defame her brothers. He did not love her and only used her as she loved him.

She comes back to Karachi but does not dare to go home and face her brothers. What happens with her?? That is very sad but only she is responsible for all her condition. The story is eye opener for those girls who conduct that rubbish court marriage for the love of some days and leave their family.

This is not just a story; rather it is picture of our society which is going ruined by so called enlightened moderation. One can find many Tasleems in our country who lost their family and honor from their blind love.
