Amjad Islam Amjad, Pride of Performance, Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Urdu: امجد اسلام امجد) (born August 4, 1944) is a well-known Urdu poet, drama writer and lyricist from Pakistan. He has written many books including poetry and prose. He has received many awards for his literary work and Screenplay for TV. In which his achievements comprise Pride of Performance and Sitara-e-Imtiaz and several other awards.
A recent poll showed that Amjad Islam Amjad is the most popular author in Urdu Adab. Fishar, Barzakh, Us Paar, Satwan Dar, Zara Phir Se Kehna, Barish Ke Awaaz, Itnay Khwab Kahan Rakhuun and Mere Bhi Hain Kuch Khwab are his famous books.
