Champoon is very interesting book. by Khaqan Sajid. It contains thrill, horror, romance, travelogue and many other things in only one book. There are some pages of the book which carry some text and ideologies which are absolutely against Islam and have no roots.
The book is about the love story of a modernist, flirting boy from a wealthy family (Mahboob Ahmad) from Karachi and a non human being Champoon which appears as a beautiful girl.
Mahboob find Champoon in a beach in Karachi and takes her home and falls in love with her. His mother does not allow him to get married with her and forces to marry his cousin Naheed. Incidents lead him to kill a person and escape from Karachi to Dhaka where he marries Champoon, (who was called Neelam by him and his family) Some days later he realizes that Neelam is not a human being and one day Neelam tells him that she is Champoon and is Bat.
Champoon kills his family, in a boat accident in sea, except his sister Nousheen who is missing and probably taken to Mumbai by an Indian Smuggler. Now his bad time starts. He hardly goes to Mumbay and finds his sister in the red-light area of Mumbai where she was mad a prostitute. His sister commits suicide and he kills a person there who made his sister prostitute.
In jail he calls Champoon for help and she comes and they make a contract that Champoon will help him and provide him all that he wants and he will provide a fresh girl’s blood once in a month for 40 months.
Now the thrill starts. He then visits USA, Thailand, Egypt, Burma, Iraq, and India. After a plane crash he decides to change his way of life and become a practical Muslim. A Pundit tries to capture Champoon and he lets him do that.
Finally he comes back to Karachi and gets married with his cousin Naheed and lives a life according to the teachings of Islam.
