Sa’adat Hassan Manto (Punjabi, Urdu: سعادت حسن منٹو) (May 11, 1912 – January 18, 1955) is believed and considered to be among three best Urdu short story Writers, being other Ismat Chugtayi, Krishan Chander.
He gave many unforgettable Short stories for Urdu Adab. Khol Do, (Open It) Thanda Gosht (Cold Meat) and Toba Tek Singh the most famous Urdu Short Stories by him.
Besides being Short Story Writer Saadat Hasan Manto was also a film and radio scriptwriter, and journalist. In his short life, he published twenty-two collections of short stories, one novel, five collections of radio plays, three collections of essays, two collections of personal sketches.
I came across one of his Afsaana “Tetwal Ka Kutta" and thought it be better to share it with you guys. So here you go.
