Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani was born in 1943 in Deoband, India. He is the son of the late Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi, the former Grand Mufti of Pakistan. He obtained his Takhassus degree (an advanced degree equivalent to Ph.D.) in Islamic education from Darul Uloom Karachi, the largest and most renowned Islamic educational institution in Pakistan. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Arabic literature from Punjab University, and a law degree (LLB) from Karachi University.
He is regarded as an expert in the fields of Hadith (sacred traditions of the Holy Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Economics, and Tasawwuf (Islamic spirituality). He has been teaching these and other branches of Islamic education since 1959.
Mufti Taqi Usmani has written more than 50 books in English, Arabic and Urdu which have a wider readership across the globe. Takmilah Fathul Mulhim, Translation of Ma’arif Ul Qur’an into English, The Noble Qur’an, Dars-e-Tarmizi Buhoos Fi Qadhaya Fiqhiyyah Muaasarah Ahkam Uz Zaba’ih, Dunya Mere Aage and Jahan-e-Deeda are his most popular books.
In the Book Jahan-e-Deeda, Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Usmani has written the travelogue of 20 countries. The book is totally different from other travelogue books. One feel that he is visiting past while reading the book and it is very hard to leave the books once it is started.
Recently Urdu literature has seen a proliferation of travel stories. But there is no other book like this in this genre. Using his immense knowledge, the author takes you on a trip into history as well as geography of the places he visits. You come back learning more than if you had physically visited the places on your own.
The book had been published by Idara Tul Ma'arif Karachi but for last few years Idara Ma'arif Ul Qur'an is publishing it and it can be found in any book shop of Pakistan. I tried to find any site which offer online reading or download of the book but I could not find it. If someone knows about that please inform me also.

He is one of the few people in all over the world who have perfect command on knowledge of Islamic, Non-Islamic and specially Islamic Banking Subject.
