SAQAFAT KI TALASH (In Search of Culture), by Naseem Hijazi, is a very beautiful and interesting humorous Urdu novel. The novel deals with some issues which are highlighted by the so-called Progressive (Tarraqi Pasand) men of liter.
It is the story of the adventure of two Comrades from Lahore, who were sent by their leader Comrade Alif Din to promote the culture of Dance and Music in the villages of Punjab. They have an aim to demote Islamic values, which make people unite, by promoting Dance and Music in the name of culture and then divide people in the name of their regional dance and music.
While their journey they confront many situations and always have to face a big hand. They get in many troubles while their mission of promoting culture.
