Gar Mujh Se Muhabbat Hay (If You are in Love With Me) is beautiful and interesting Urdu social and romantic novel, written by Rukhsana Nigar Adnan. The novel discusses some burning social issues of our society and an extra ordinary love story between Saba, a beautiful lady doctor and Ubaid an ugly but finally successful boy.
Saira and Sanoobar are two sisters and both have their family. Sanoobar gets married with Abdurrahman a rich business man from Quetta and Saira marries Anees a government employee who later resigns his job and runs a general store in Lahore.
Abdurrahman dies and leaves Sanoobar and the only son Ubaid while Anees and Saira have four daughters; Afsheen, Anjum, Saboohi and Saba and a son Mueen. Sanoobar and Ubaid face some critical problems and death threats from his father's business partner and all the business is snatched by his partner and they are helpless, while Anees and Saira are worried about the future of their daughter and financial problems.
On the wedding of their first daughter, Afsheen Sanoobar and Ubaid visit them and Ubaid falls in love with Saba. Firstly Saba does not like him but later she also finds a soft corner for Ubaid which later turns into a mad love. Saira not only refuses to help her sister and her only son, when knows about their conditions, she refuses to accepts Sanoobar's proposal to Saba for Ubaid and they leave their home.
Later after marriage of Anjum the second daughter of Saira and Anees, Anees dies and the family gets into terrible conditions. Mueen besoms addicted and they lost everything.
What happens to Ubaid and his mother?? How Saira and her two daughters face the problems and how they get rid of these conditions?? What is the end of the love of Ubaid and Saba?? You should read the book but one thing I must tell, is that like many other Urdu novels, you will read a happy end.
