Mere Charah Gar is a beautiful and marvelous Urdu social novel written by Rukhsana Nigar Adnan. The novel tells some burning issues of our society. Some hard and tough problems which girls especially orphan one have to face.
The novel tells three major stories, all of them are, somehow, inter related. Sadia, a girl from a very rich family falls in love with Aftab Zubairi, a very handsome, but greedy, man and rebels her family and gets married with him and ruins her life. Shaista, another girl belonging to a lower middle class family, falls in love with the same greedy man (Aftab Zubairi), marries John, a rich Non-Muslim man to save her future. Many years later John dies and Shaista comes back to Pakistan and establishes her own business. Aftab Zubairi passes a suffering life; he could not achieve what he wanted from his marriage with Sadia.
Abeeha, daughter of Sadia's brother who died some year back and Roshi, Sadia's daughter are in same class in the same college. On a rainy day Abeeha cannot go home and spend night with Roshi and that creates too much problems in the whole family. She has to marry Rafay, the only son of Sadia. She is engaged with Zaryab her first cousin and interested in him that’s why she does not accept, by heart, this new relation.
Like many other Urdu novels it ends with a happy end. But this novel shows some very dark faces of relations and problems of widows and orphans. You can find all what you can expect from the pen of Rukhsana Nigar Adnan.
