Zindagi Ek Roshni (Urdu: زندگی اک روشنی) is a beautiful and outstanding Urdu social and romantic novel produced by the pen of Rukhsana Nigar Adnan. The novel is a real picture of our society which is stuck between two extremes.
Rukhsana have tried to show the picture of our society, from the haves to the have not's, from the liberal elites to religious minded families, from the powerful to the powerless, from the feudal lards to the poor people, from the politics to the social issues and from the behavior of parents with their children in elite and religious families and their impacts on the lives of children.
The novel tells at least five parallel stories going on and all of them meet to an end at the end of the novel. The reader finds all the characters alive in his routine life. Rukhsana have tried to show a picture of our society and its problems and she have done her job quite well, I must say. I wished to write down a summary of the novel but decided to leave it, I do not want to stand between you and this beautiful novel.
