Parveen Shakir (Urdu: پروین شاکر‎) (November 24, 1952 – December 26, 1994) was an Urdu poet, teacher and a civil servant of the Government of Pakistan. 

Shakir started writing at an early age and published her first volume of poetry, Khushbu (English: Fragrance) (Urdu: خوشبو), to great acclaim, in 1976. She subsequently published other volumes of poetry - all well-received - Sad-barg (English: Marsh Marigold) (Urdu: صد برگ) in 1980, Khud Kalami (English: Soliloquy) (Urdu: خود کلامی) and Inkar (English: Denial) (Urdu: انکار) in 1990, Kaf e Aina (English: The Mirror's Edge) (Urdu: کفِ آئینہ) besides a collection of her newspaper columns, titled Gosha-e-Chashm (English: The Sight Corner) (Urdu: گوشہ چشم), and was awarded one of Pakistan's highest honours, the Pride of Performance for her outstanding contribution to literature. The poetry books are collected in the volume Mah e Tamam (English: Full Moon) (Urdu: ماہِ تمام) with the exception of Kaf e Aina.

Shakeeb Jalali (Urdu: شکیب جلالی‎) (October 1, 1934 – November 12, 1966) was a Pakistani Urdu poet.  

Shakeb Jalali's real name was Syed Hassan Rizvi. His ancestors were from a small town, Saddat Jalali, near Aligarh, India. In accordance with the well-known poet, writer and authentic critic Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi, Shakeeb was said to be born on October 1, 1934, but his wife Syeda Mohiddisa Khatoon gives his year of birth as 1935 or 1936. 

His life as a poet began in 1947 (when he was only 15 years old), he gave an entirely different and unique grace to Urdu Ghazals. His Nazms have a new style; he also tried his hands in Rubai, Qitaat, translation, etc. His poetry work was published after his death: Rooshni Ay Rooshni in 1972 by Maktaba-e-Fanoon and several additions by Mavara Publications and Kuliyat e Shakeb Jalali in 2004 by Sang-e-Meel Publications, Lahore.

Kalam-e-Mir Taqi Mir

Mir Taqi Mir (Urdu: میر تقی میر) (born 1723 - died 1810), whose real name was Muhammad Taqi (Urdu: محمد تقی) and takhallus (pen name) was Mir (Urdu: میر) (sometimes also spelt as Meer Taqi Meer), was the leading Urdu poet of the 18th century, and one of the pioneers who gave shape to the Urdu language itself. He was one of the principal poets of the Delhi School of the Urdu ghazal and remains arguably the foremost name in Urdu poetry often remembered as Khuda-e-sukhan (god of poetry). 

His complete works, Kulliaat, consist of six Diwans containing 13,585 couplets, comprising all kinds of poetic forms: ghazal, masnavi, qasida, rubai, mustezaad, satire, etc. Mir's literary reputation is anchored on the ghazals in his Kulliyat-e-Mir, much of them on themes of love. His masnavi Mu'amlat-e-Ishq (The Stages of Love) is one of the greatest known love poems in Urdu literature.

Deewan-e-Ghalib

Mirza Ghalib (Urdu: مرزا غالب‎; Hindi: मिर्ज़ा ग़ालिब) born Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan (Urdu/Persian: مرزا اسد اللہ بیگ خان), on 27 December 1797 – died 15 February 1869), was a classical Urdu and Persian poet from the Mughal Empire during British colonial rule. He used his pen-names of Ghalib (Urdu/Persian: غالب, ġhālib means "dominant") and Asad (Urdu/Persian: اسد, Asad means "lion"). His honorific was Dabir-ul-Mulk, Najm-ud-Daula. During his lifetime the Mughals were eclipsed and displaced by the British and finally deposed following the defeat of the Indian rebellion of 1857, events that he wrote of. Most notably, he wrote several Ghazals during his life, which have since been interpreted and sung in many different ways by different people. Ghalib, the last great poet of the Mughal Era, is considered to be one of the most popular and influential poets of the Urdu language. Ghalib today remains popular not only in India and Pakistan but also amongst diaspora communities around the world.

Kulliyat-e-Habib Jalib; the Collection of Habib Jalib's Poetry

Kulliyat-e-Habib Jalib

Habib Jalib (Urdu: حبیب جالب) (Real name: Habib Ahmad) (Urdu: حبیب احمد) was a Pakistani revolutionary Urdu poet, left-wing activist and politician who opposed martial law, authoritarianism and state oppression. 

Jalib was a Marxist-Leninist and aspired to the ideals of Communism. He was a member of the Communist Party of Pakistan; later when the Communist Party was banned and started working under the banner of National Awami Party (NAP), he joined the NAP. His views led to imprisonment. 

His poetry shows that, being a communist, he was pro Russia and China. He wrote many poems and Ghazal against USA and in many of his poems he even mentioned Ronald Reagan, the than president of USA, and showed his dislike to him.
