ZINDAGI GULZAAR HAY; a Beautiful Book by Umaira Ahmad

Zindagi Gulzaar hai is a very interesting book by Umaira Ahmad, the famous Urdu novelist of this age. The book is consisting of three stories; 1, Zindagi Gulzaar hai, 2, Abi to Baat Baqi hai, and 3, Aisa Kabhi Nahi Hota.

All of these three stories are very interesting and beautiful; especially the second story could make someone cry. And it is quite hard to stop your laugh while reading third one. So this book is combination of sad stuff and funny in one cover.

This book shows the fabulous sense of humor of Umaira Ahmad, otherwise her other stories are always free of humor and always discuss with some burning issues of our society.

ZINDAGI GULZAR HAY, is a hate and love story of two persons from two extremely different societies. Zaroon Junaid, son of an Industrialist and Kashf Murtaza, agirl belonging to a middle class family of Gujrat, Pakistan. Both of them are class mates in M.A International Relations in Government College Lahore. They hate each other, Zaroon tries to flirt with her but he could not do that and their relations go worst.

Actually the story is consisting of the diaries written by Zaroon and Kashf Murtaza. How they meet after college?? What did they achieve in their future?? How did they get married?? All these things are quite interesting, and fun to read.

ABI BAAT BAQI HAI; is story of a selfish army officer and an innocent girl. Captain Hassan Danyal son of General Danyal belongs to a high class family of Pakistan. He was fond of doing flirt with girls. He had all the habits which are common in the elite class of Pakistan. Major Sunbul was a beautiful girl. She was elder than Hassan about 8 years.

Hassan tries to make friendship with her but he fails and then proposes her. She, also, gradually falls in love with him and they get married. Hassan hides his marriage from his family and Sunbul’s family was not agree with her choice so they break all the relations with her.

After one year she gives birth to twin girls, Rabeel and Javeria. Hassan’s father enforces him to divorce her, when he comes to know about his marriage, and he does that. General Danyal enforces her to forget Hassan and not to give his name to her daughters. He snatches all the proofs of their marriage and later she is demoted to captaincy and transferred to Karachi.

After many years her daughters know about their past and then Hassan has to pay for all what he did to their mother. The story is very interesting, which reveals the brutality which extremely exists in the elite class for the middle class people.

AISA KABI NAHI HOTA is very funny story of a college girl Sana who is elder sister of two brothers. She has some very interesting hobbies. One day she informs her college friends about her new plan and they are shocked. She tells them that she is going to do love marriage and they have to help her in her mission.

After a long thinking they decide to get some ideas from Short stories and other stories from digests which she is fond of reading. She gets some ideas and they start their mission of love marriage.

Their first plan, which was very funny, fails and they starts work on plan number two; which was making friendship on phone. She makes about 100 calls in one night but she fails in her mission and gives up this plan. One day her phone rings and a boy starts calling her. They make friendship on phone but after some days the boy is disconnected.

Now the situation becomes very humorous and funny. Unfortunately she fails in all the methods of love marriage. One day her mother informs her about a proposal for her and she accepts that. She thinks that if she could not do love marriage she should go for arrange one.

But the situation goes funny when she comes to know that she is successful in her mission of Love Marriage. How??? For this you will have to read the book.
